Celebrating Cultural Treasures
On October 12, 2012 from 6PM - 9PM the Folk Arts-Cultural Treasures Charter School (FACTS) invites you to join us in supporting excellence in education, celebrating our school's accomplishments and recognizing our founding principal, Debbie Wei. Our Special Guest Emcee for the evening will be Betty Liu, award-winning journalist and news anchor for Bloomberg Television. Nationally-acclaimed author and Philadelphia School Reform Commissioner Lorene Cary will give the keynote address. We will showcase student performances and offer a 10-course meal catered by Sang Kee Restaurant. Your support will sustain our work to provide an academically strong program within a nurturing and culturally enriching environment.
FACTS opened in 2005 in Philadelphia's Chinatown with the mission to: provide children with an exemplary education that utilizes traditional arts and cultures found within their own and neighboring communities as the catalyst for critical inquiry and community engagement.
