Peter D. Fix Asst Director, Center for Maritime Archaeology & Conservation, Texas A&M Univ. Conservator and Head of Reconstruction of Belle "Excavating and Restoring the 17th century Shipwreck Belle"
Mr. Fix provides project support for the Conservation Research Laboratory and Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation at Texas A&M. In addition to the ongoing task of directing the conservation of the 17th C. Barque Longue Belle, he has directed projects in Irian Jaya, Indonesia, the Caribbean, and is the founding director of CMAC's Archeo-Genomics Laboratory. His most recent undertaking is a collaborative effort in association with The Missouri State Museum to stabilize the historic structure and doped canvas covering of Charles Lindbergh's 1934 Monocoupe D-145.
Mr. Fix is a Ph.D. candidate at Texas A&M University for Anthropology and Nautical Archaeology.
