Liberal Jew: Political Comedian Scott Blakeman
Hailed as "The top political comedian working in New York today", Scott Blakeman performs his political humor from a liberal Jewish point of view at The Grange Hall in West Tisbury on Martha's Vineyard. Scott has performed around the world including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam.
For the past three years, Scott has been featured on MSNBC's live coverage of the White House Correspondents Dinner, and is also one of the few liberal pundits to appear weekly on the live webcast Fox News.com Live. Scott recently appeared on The Young Turks on Current TV. Blakeman is also an original member of the New York-based political comedy show Laughing Liberally, and is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post.
Blakeman and Palestinian-American comedian Dean Obeidallah perform their groundbreaking comedy show Standup for Peace: The Two Comedian Solution to Middle East Peace at colleges, theaters, Temples and Jewish and Arab community centers across the country.
