FREE Bellevue College Planetarium Shows
SUMMER QUARTER SCHEDULE: July 27: 7:00 & 8:30 PM August 17: 7:00 & 8:30 PM September 14: 7:00 & 8:30 PM
ABOUT "STARS": Every star has a story. Some are as old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day, born of vast clouds of gas and dust. Through every phase of their existence, stars release the energy that powers the Universe. Journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of "Stars."
Join us in the Willard Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College to view the show "Stars" and stay to take a tour of the night sky using our state-of-the-art Digistar 3 planetarium projector.
SPECIAL ASTRONOMY EVENTS ON 9/14: Come to the Geer Planetarium (room B244) at 6:30 PM to check out sun spots using our specially equipped telescopes OR stay late after the 8:30 show to check out the stars in real life on the roof of the B building!**
**These events will be cancelled in the case of clouds or rain. Check the SAMI website (http://scidiv.bellevuecollege.edu/sami) on 9/14 for updates.
TICKETING PROCEDURES:
RESERVED SEATS: Forty five (45) seats for each show will be released on Brown Paper Tickets (this website) ONE WEEK in advance of each show date starting at 8 AM. There is a limit of 5 seats per reservation.

WAITLIST: If you are unable to reserve tickets online, you may sign up for the waitlist outside of the planetarium (Room B244) starting 20 minutes prior to each show. All remaining seats in the planetarium (approximately 15 per show) will be given out to those on the waitlist on a first-come, first served basis.
This show is not appropriate for kids under the age of six.
No food or drink is allowed in the planetarium.
The Geer Planetarium is located in Room B244 on Bellevue College's Main Campus.
Because the room is dark during the show, there is NO late admission.
The Geer Planetarium at Bellevue College is the only community college planetarium in Washington state. The planetarium's Digistar 3 projector can accurately reproduce the night sky any time of the year or night at any location within 900 light years of the Sun. It can show the stars position in three dimensions, and allow realistic journeys through space.
Free community planetarium shows at the Geer Planetarium are sponsored by the Science and Math Institute (SAMI) at Bellevue College.
