Hohlax Trio From Athens, Greece
The Hohlax Trio from Athens will be performing Greek music while on their second West Coast tour this September! Formed in 2007 on the Greek island of Amorgos, the trio is: violinist Jaime Smith, native Californian who went to Greece on a Fullbright scholarship and has been living and performing there for 12 years; celebrated bouzouki player, and concert and nightclub musician Orestis Koletsos; and Greek television and recording artist and singer Apostolis Kounis, who also plays guitar and oud. This talented and accomplished trio has an energy and force, along with a dedication to the musical traditions of Greece, which will entertain you and get your dancing feet moving!
