Macbeth
Inspired after watching the play in Shakespeare's Globe Theatre this past summer, THS Drama is proud to present, "Macbeth", Shakespeare's shortest and most direct play.
A brave Scottish general, Macbeth, receives a prophecy from a trio of supernatural beings that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. More murders ensue and Scotland is thrown into turmoil. The Macbeths are wracked with guilt and paranoia. Loyal Macduff returns with Malcolm, the rightful heir to the throne, and an English army to set things right again.
Just in time for the national election-a play about ambition!
