A story of love, betrayal, and revenge that takes place in an Andalusian village. The play also examines issues concerning the conflict between personal desire and social and family responsibilities.
Lovers are torn apart as two families in rural Spain are intricately bound in an unbreakable cycle of murder and revenge. Experience passion and violence mixed with song and ceremony. Federico GarcĂa Lorca illuminates our deepest desires with gorgeous poetic imagery and the haunting appearance of a human Moon.
LATE SEATING Late seating is at the discretion of the House Manager and may not be possible for some performances, especially if you are more than 10 minutes late. If you arrive late, ushers will seat you at the earliest appropriate time during the performance, usually at the end of a scene. Out of respect for the performers and other audience members, you will be asked to wait in the lobby with an usher until the appropriate seating break. If you need to leave a performance early, we ask that you leave at a point in the performance when moving around would be a minimal disturbance to those around you, such as during applause.
LOUD TALKING, CELL PHONES/ELECTRONICS and DISRUPTIONS DURING PERFORMANCES Disruptions are not tolerated. If anyone disturbs the audience or interferes with the performance, the patron will be required to leave with no refund forthcoming.
