The Legend of Duro - Performance Storytelling by Olusola Adebiyi
Our 2nd installment of Storytelling Sundays brings the return of Olusola Adebiyi. Offering his unique and powerful blend of physical storytelling, hypnotic narrative and audience participation, Olusola Adebiyi performs an African tale The Legend of Duro.
Duro was a land that no one ever left. Once they came to Duro the dark power of the Forbidden Forest made sure they stayed. Everyone in the village came from somewhere else, everyone that is except the magical twins Damé and Lolisa. They were born there, and they decided to leave
Every 1st Sunday of the month come and be enchanted & enthralled, amused and amazed by captivating tales and delicious wordplay.
Storytelling is embedded within our being an ancient ritual, a vital conduit for knowledge transfer and building block of communities the world over. For millennia humans have been hardwired for stories, and as with singing and dancing storytelling taps in to a deeper part of our being and opens the doorway for transformational change.
The CoResist Collective has curated a programme of exceptional tellers and stories so that you can participate in the resurgance of this unique and transformation art form.
