Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents Moutin Factory Quintet!
Featuring: François Moutin - upright bass; Louis Moutin - drums; Manu Codjia - guitar; Jean-Michel Pilc - piano; Christophe Monniot - alto & sopranino saxophone. On tour, celebrating the release of their new CD, "DEEP", which unveils the compositions imagined by Francois and Loius, inspired by the sound of this new group. Their melodies and the rythms generously carry us in a world of deep emotions and lead us into sharing their jubilation of being fully alive. In march 2016, the band has been touring in France/Switzerland, including l'Equinoxe in Châteauroux, the Caen Theater, the "Théâtre 71" in Malakoff and the Chorus in Lausanne. During this tour they made a 4 days stop in a studio in Malakoff during March, to record their new album DEEP, to be released at the end of August 2016.
