"FOUR STARS. Sarah Ruhl delivers a brilliant comedy that aims for big laughs and hits its target. Funny: Theres nothing like it." New York Post
RENO, NV. Sarah Ruhls Romantic Comedy: STAGE KISS opens Brüka Theatres 2016/17 Season on September 30, 2016. Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Stage Kiss captures Sarah Ruhls singular voice. It is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kissor when actors share a real one.
STAGE KISS opens with a post-show opening night champagne reception and appetizers from the Wild River Grille. The show runs weekly Thursday through Sunday through October 22. Evening shows begin at 8:00 pm (Artist night is Wednesday October 19A, 2016. ALL TICKETS are $10 for Artist Night.) There is one Sunday matinee on October 9 beginning at 2:00 PM. The matinee is followed by a talk back with the company and our audience. The doors open a half an hour before curtain time. Suggested for ages 14 and up.
