Rachel Magdison & the Hot French Strings

On tour from Bordeaux, France!

The Hot Strings quartet is a collective of musicians from Bordeaux France. They breathe new life into the American and French standards we love from the golden era of the 1930's to the 1950s.

Thierry Lujan - guitar

Nicolas Frossard - violin

Franck Richard - bass

Rachael Magidson began playing music at age 6, with piano, bass, percussion, alto sax, trumpet and guitar. She is now fronting and arranging for the Hot Strings, as well as several other bands.

Thierry Lujan has studied both Jazz and Brazilian styles as well as other traditional music from around the world. He is a composer and arranger for the band.

Nicolas Frossard has been playing violin since age 6 is a graduate of the French Conservatory.

Franck Richard played Blues until he discovered Jazz at the age of 19. He is a graduate of the French Conservatory.
