Kids in the Spotlight 7th Annual "Movies by Kids" Screening and Awards Celebration
Kids In The Spotlight and Celebrity Ambassador, Ty Burrell ("Modern Family") invites you to come and witness some of Hollywood's brightest stars and LA's youngest filmmakers at our 7th Annual Movies By Kids Screening and Awards Celebration.
Part screening, part awards show, Movies By Kids honors the outstanding achievement of student filmmakers living in the Los Angeles County foster care system.
Join us on the historic Fox Studios lot where you'll be treated to short films written, cast and starring foster children and directed by celebrity directors. Plus, enjoy exciting Red Carpet activities, meet some of your favorite stars, bid on incredible items at the Silent Auction, savor the tasty buffet at the Post Show Reception and take home a nifty gift bag.
Scheduled to appear: Mo McRae (Pitch), Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show), Aisha Hinds (Under the Dome), Robert Munic (Ice & Empire), Niecy Nash (Soul Man), Kellee Stewart (Soul Man), Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family) and many, many more!
Many of these films depict the harsh realities faced by the pre-teen and teenage screenwriters who produced them. Some material may not suitable for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
Kids In The Spotlight, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit arts education program that trains foster children to tell their stories their way.
