Inspired by the great Baroque oratorios, but with the drama and expanded orchestra of the Romantic Period, Mendelssohn's oratorio, Elijah, weaves together brilliant color, gorgeous lyricism, and great musical expression.
Under Maestro John Finney, and featuring baritone Philip Lima as Elijah, with full orchestra and professional soloists, Heritage Chorale will tell the biblical story of Elijah, the fiery prophet. At turns sublime and nuanced, powerful and sensitive, this performance will leave you exhilarated.
