Night Terrors with the Horror Writers Association at the Morbid Anatomy Museum
Date: Wednesday, October 26th Time: 7pm Admission: $7 Location: Morbid Anatomy Museum, 424 Third Avenue, 11215 Brooklyn
The Morbid Anatomy Museum presents an evening of Night Terrors with the New York Chapter of the Horror Writers Association! Featured authors include:
Literary legend and horror grand master Jack Ketchum (The Girl Next Door, The Lost, Off Season, Red); New York Times best-selling author and Morbid Anatomy Museum founding board member Tonya Hurley (The Blessed Trilogy, Ghostgirl, and the forthcoming Feathervein); Award-winning author Lisa Manetti (The Box Jumper, The Gentling Box); Steven Van Patten (Killer Genius, The Brookwaters Curse Trilogy); James Chambers (The Engines of Sacrifice, Three Chords of Chaos) and other members of the local horror fiction community.
Emceed by James Chambers and Trevor Firetog, Night Terrors showcases authors reading from their most chilling works and offers trivia challenge giveaways and macabre refreshments.
Join horror authors, readers, and fans in time for Halloween for a night of celebrating the dark side of life and the tales that keep us up long after midnight. Meet the authors, who will be available to answer questions and sign books, and support Brooklyn's most morbid museum.
Founded in 1985, the Horror Writers Association (www.horror.org) exists to promote and protect the careers of professional horror writers, to mentor new writers seeking to enter their ranks, and to promote the horror genre. The HWA administers the annual, iconic Bram Stoker Awards for Superior Achievement and organizes Stoker Con, an annual conference for horror writers. Its New York chapter conducts monthly meetings and attends and organizes various events for its members. More information is available at https://hwany.wordpress.com.
