Romance, Revolution and Rachmaninoff
Azamat Sydykov moved to the US in 2011 from Moscow, Russia where he attended the famed Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Since living in America, he has performed concerts from coast to coast, the first ever in the history of his home country of Kyrgyzstan to play a solo recital at Carnegies Weill Hall. This program will feature works by the most prominent and colorful composers of Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia and Eastern Europe, chronicling the turbulent history and rich cultural traditions in which the music was conceived. The program includes American premiere performances.
