Make your own SLIME!
Come to HiveBio, Seattle's premier do-it-yourself biology laboratory, and learn how to cook up a fresh batch of slime perfect for Halloween and other fun occasions! This special Halloween themed class is presented by University of Washington's own Kaelan Yu!
We'll show you how easy it is to make oozing, goopy, SLIME using normal house hold materials! This class will cover the basics of general chemistry. Students attending this class will learn the difference between Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, and we'll explore the reaction mechanism of polymer formation and cross-linking, a very important topic of discussion in the fields of chemical engineering and material science! Students attending the class will be able to take home their slime!
