Marcs Silver Shorts
Continuing our bi-annual tradition of presenting our Marcs Shorts collections of short plays by Executive Director, Marc Clopton, TASN celebrates its 25th Anniversary with a selection of four slightly longer short plays we are calling Marcs Silver Shorts. These plays cover a wide range of human experiences.
Thanksgiving Prayer looks in on a familys holiday reunion as they address the fluid vocabulary and deeper significance of gender spectrum identity issues. Snap Shot looks at three weeks of a news cycle and the impact of bad news on the collective psyche. In Worthy Opponent, Malcolm battles with his depression as it manifests as an unwanted guest. In Post Soviet Encounter, a contemporary Russian poet is visited by the spirit of the great composer, Peter Illiaich Tchaikovsy, as he challenges her to keep creating in the face of deepening divisions between governments and the governed.
