Muriel Anderson

Muriel Anderson, one of the world's foremost fingerstyle guitar players, opens the season at Simple Gifts Coffee House. In her first appearance at Simple Gifts she amazed all with her unique and exceptional talent. Muriel's joy of music, humor, and facility across the genres of folk, jazz, bluegrass, and classical music is revered by guitarists worldwide. First woman to win the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, her playing transforms the guitar into a lyrical choir, a marching band, a Japanese koto,and more. She received a degree in music from DePaul University and went on to study with Nashville legend Chet Atkins and classical virtuoso ChrisParkenin. She has recorded with country legend Chet Atkins and performed with jazz greats Les Paul and Victor Wooten. Come out and enjoy the incredibly talented Muriel Anderson in her second appearance in Nashua's premier listening room at Simple Gifts Coffee House.
Guests attending Simple Gifts Coffee House performances are invited to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the concerts. Coffee, tea, and a variety of baked goods are available at each show.
