New Poetry by Amy King, Barry Schwabsky, and John Yau
Amy King is the recipient of the 2015 Winner of the WNBA Award (Womens National Book Association). Her latest collection, The Missing Museum, is a winner of the 2015 Tarpaulin Sky Book Prize. She serves on the executive board of VIDA: Women in Literary Arts and is co-editing with Heidi Lynn Staples the anthology, Big Energy Poets of the Anthropocene: When Ecopoets Think Climate Change. She is also co-editing the anthology, Bettering American Poetry 2015, and is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at SUNY Nassau Community College.
Barry Schwabsky has recently published the poetry collection Trembling Hand Equilibrium (Black Square Editions, 2015) and a book of art criticism, The Perpetual Guest: Art in the Unfinished Present (Verso, 2016). This reading marks the publication of his new limited edition publication from Kilmog Press, New Zealand, Little Pocket Odes.
John Yau is a poet who writes about art, collaborates with artists, and is the publisher of Black Square Editions. His most recent book is Catherine Murphy (Skira Rizzoli, 2016), the first monograph on this celebrated artist. He is one of the founders of Hyperallergic Weekend, an online magazine, and contributes regularly to it. He recently put together a book of essays on art and poetry, The Wild Children of William Blake, which will be published in the near future by Autonomedia. He is currently putting together a book of poems, Firefly Promises. He has poems forthcoming in the Colorado Review and Hambone.
