Aligning Ourselves with The Seasons: Autumn

The Autumn is such a beautiful and important time in the wheel of the year, as it is our time to reflect what worked and didnt work through our year, what we accomplished and overall how to let our energy start coming down and in as we make our final preparations for winter. We will discuss why letting our energy turn inwards is crucial to our health and wellness. We will discuss the Chinese medical correspondences of Autumn and we will experience the taste, sound, smell and feel of autumn and learn about why that is useful in our lives. We will learn and discuss the difference between grief and sadness. Living in harmony with the seasons is helpful to know how to best get the most out of living a balanced life. We will do an experiential exercise to learn how to magically let go of the energy that doesnt serve us. This class will be a lecture with some experiential aspects to it.

"I have been practicing acupuncture since 2004 when I graduated with my Masters degree from The Traditional Acupuncture Institute (TAI Sophia) in Maryland. I am an Oregon Licensed Acupuncturist, in addition to a Diplomate of Acupuncture from The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture. Previous to my study of Chinese Medicine, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I have studied herbal medicine at The Elderberry School. I also have completed and graduated from 5 years of energy work and healing from Colette Gardiner in the Blue Iris Mystery School."
