Yelp's Second Annual .5k Fun Run @ The Point Ale House
We love charity. We love Sunday. We love football and we kinda like staying in shape. So let's get together and do all of the above!
One of the best ways to fight all the eating and drinking we do as a community is to go for a run... but let's leave those 3.1 miles to everyone else. Our run, The Second Annual Yelp 0.5K is dedicated to those who maybe prefer the couch side of couch-to-5K training.
This is a fundraiser event for Tuesday's Children (http://www.tuesdayschildren.org/). A .5K race is only .311 of a mile. So anyone can do it! Plus, we'll have donuts. The sugar should propel you right to the finish line!
This 1,600 feet of anti-cardio starts and ends at The Point Ale House & Grill. We'll celebrate our victories and defeats with food and drink (obviously) and football.
Your $10 registration will score you: * Entry into our .5k * A Blue Point Brewery beer * A local pastry or donut
** 100% of DONATIONS WILL BE GIVEN TO CHARITY! **
Single wave, starts at 12:15pm. Registration starts at 11am. Here's the route map: https://gyazo.com/3f62eb9f616d2cde2e917e962efbe1b3
Race details: - Attire: Please consider wearing excessively short shorts and neon head bands. Or velour suits. Or in costume. You know what... come however you want to come! - Water Stops: lol - Weather: The race will be held rain, shine, snow, or zombie apocalypse.
Are dogs allowed?!: Yes, no, maybe. Why Yes?: They CAN be with you on the run. Why No?: The Health Department won't allow dogs on The Point's patio.
Are kids allowed?! Sure!
About Tuesday's Children: Tuesday's Children was founded to promote long-term healing in all those directly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.
