Music for Peace: The Ultimate Prodigy
Mendelssohn's Octet composed when he was 16, along with other chamber works
Benefits Massachusetts Peace Action Education Fund; part of the Music for Peace Series. Single concert seats $25 in advance for Mass. Peace Action members, $35 for non-members, $10 for students, $35 at the door. Series of 3 concerts: member $65, non-member $80, student $25. There are no physical tickets. Those who reserve are placed on a will-call list.

The Omer Quartet was the 2013 Grand Prize and Gold Medal winner of the 40th Fischoff National Chamber Music Competi- tion. It is currently the resident ensemble of the New England Conservatorys Profes- sional Quartet Training Program, was the Cleveland Chamber Music Societys Quartet in Residence in 2012-2013, and has performed in Chicago, Montreal, Palm Beach, Aspen, Banff, and Italy, among other locations.
Soovin Kim is the first violinist of the Johannes Quartet. Equally gifted in concerto, recital, and chamber music repertoire, Kim has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, and more, and has given solo recitals at New Yorks Weill Hall, the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater, and the Seoul Arts Center.
