Described by the Washington Post as "prodigiously talented young artist with powerful technique and musical poise," 21-year-old cellist Sang-Eun Lee blew away judges and audiences alike at the 2014 Young Concert Artists International Auditions. Born in Seoul, Koream she attended the Korean National University of Arts, where she worked with Myung Cha Chung and Sang Min Park. She currently attends the Curtis Institute of Music, working with Peter Wiley and Carter Brey. Her passionate performance style dances between fierce and sweet on repertoire ranging from Brahms to Crumb.
