The Danger of Gray Fat
A mix of poetry, music and spoken word that explores the dangers of the human mind (gray fat). Full of wit, satire, and with a bit of horror around the edges, it starts with Jarboe's vision of Heaven and ends with mummies from Ancient Egypt Land. The presentation explores along the way: abusement parks, the second law of thermodynamics, New Jersey, evil, raising the dead, eggs and chickens, and the effects of the symbolic world. His final comment is on the state of floppy angels.
Jarboe is a singer/songwriter, poet, composer, and writer for the theater for forty years. His ballet MLK was performed at Obama's Inauguration. Other ballets have been performed in Colorado and New Jersey. His plays have been performed in LA, New York, Austin, and New Orleans. He has a wife Sharon and three kids. He is proud to bring his one man show to San Francisco.
