"An Intimate evening with Dany Bacher" featuring Mark Soskin on Piano.
Join critically-acclaimed singer-saxophonist Danny Bacher, hailed by the New York Times as a "prodigiously talented musical preservationist," for an intimate evening of jazz standards - and some rare gems. Accompanying Danny will be the incomparable Mark Soskin on piano. Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear these two talents live and up close, at their debut performance at Pangea.

The secret of serious fun is not to take it too seriously, especially if it involves playing jazz. That attitude is something that the easygoing singer and saxophonist Danny Bacher, who appeared with a small swing band at the Metropolitan Room on Tuesday evening, knows in his bones. It is about making hot music but staying cool, about cutting up while maintaining effortless self-control, about having a blast with friends. And at his performance of Swing That Music, a homage to the era of jumpin jive with a dollop of Dixieland, Mr. Bacher conflated the music of three Louises  Armstrong, Jordan and Prima  in a concert revealing him to be a prodigiously talented musical preservationist.
Stephen Holden, The New York Times

"Danny is a rare artist who swings as a musician, is a wonderful singer, and really understands and delivers the lyrics! What a concept!" -Marilyn Maye, Legendary Vocalist

"Danny Bacher is reminiscent of 'triple talent' icons such as Louis Armstrong and Sammy Davis, Jr. He's a serious jazz musician who can hold his own improvising on soprano sax or scatting with the best musicians on the scenehe has a natural flair for comedy and a voice full of soul." -Roseanna Vitro, Grammy Nominated Jazz Vocalist & Educator
