Event
SFDanceworks in Sonoma, October 2nd, 2016
Join us in Sonoma on Sunday, October 2nd, 1-4 pm, for an afternoon of food, wine, and dance to support SFDanceworks Season Two!
Back by popular demand after last year's highly successful event, a luncheon featuring wood fired pizza will be prepared by Chef Matt Roberts, formerly of San Francisco's Jardiniere, and his wife, Elana Altman Roberts, former San Francisco Ballet soloist. The pair recently founded BVR Farm, a food-focused agritourism retreat bringing people together to share a meal, connect with the land, and meet the producers of their food. After lunch, be treated to a demonstration performance from SFDanceworks artists and hear from founder and artistic director James Sofranko about preparations for Season Two.
SFDanceworks Inaugural Season in June 2016 was sold out and the company was received as a welcome new addition to the San Francisco dance scene. "Sofranko's notion of contemporary classicism can fill an aesthetic need in this community." -The San Francisco Chronicle $120 per person. ($80 tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Dancers' Group) Space is limited to the first 100 guests. All proceeds benefit SFDanceworks Season Two at the ODC Theater in San Francisco, June 22-25, 2017. Sonoma address will be provided with purchase.
SFDanceworks is dedicated to presenting the best of the past, present, and creating the future of dance. For more information, please visit www.sfdanceworks.org
