Narek Arutyunian
Clarinetist Narek Arutyunian is an artist who reaches passionate depths with seemingly effortless technical prowess and beguiling sensitivity (The Washington Post). He has performed with the Orchestra of St. Lukes at Alice Tully Hall, the Boston Pops, and numerous regional orchestras throughout the United States. Internationally, he has appeared as soloist with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Kaliningrad Philharmonic, the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Arutyunian has performed recitals at such venues as the Washington Center for the Performing Arts and Carnegies Weill Recital Hall in the U.S., and has performed extensively in Australia, Asia, and in Europe, where he appeared at the Louvre in Paris and the Palazzo del Principe in Genoa. His festival appearances include Juilliard ChamberFest, the New York Festival of Song, the Marlboro Music Festival and major music festivals in Poland, German, Australia, Tokyo and Beijing.
Winner of the 2010 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, he was presented in debut recitals at Merkin Concert Hall and the Kennedy Center to rave reviews. By the age of 16, he had already won First Prizes in the International Young Musicians Competition in Prague and the Musical Youth of the Planet Competition in Moscow. He has recorded the Weber Concertino for clarinet with the State Symphony Orchestra of New Russia.
Born in 1992 in Armenia, Mr. Arutyunian graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory where he worked with Evgeny Petrov. He received his Bachelors degree from the Juilliard School, where he worked with Charles Neidich. He is currently a Masters candidate at the Manhattan School of Music, where he continues his studies with Mr. Neidich.

Directions to Delaware Valley University, Life Sciences Building
From Philadelphia - Take Route 309 North to Route 202 at Montgomeryville. Go north on Route 202 to Route 611. Go north on Route 611 to the State Street exit. Follow signs to Delaware Valley College. Turn left at New Britain Rd and next right into the Life Sciences Building parking lot. Or go past New Britain Rd. and turn left at the College entrance.
Going north or south on Route 611, take the bypass at Doylestown to the State Street exit, which is State Street and East Butler Avenue (old Route 202). Follow signs to the College. The entrance is at the second light on Butler Ave. Turn left on Student Center Drive and park in the lot behind the Student Center next to the Life Sciences Building side entrance.
Free Parking for the Life Sciences Building Auditorium is located at the front of the building from the New Britain Road parking lot.
Special Parking for seniors or for those needing assistance is located behind the Student Center at the side entrance to the Life Sciences Building.
