Intermediate Sake Class "Sake Brewing and Regionality"
The class starts at 4pm and ends at 5:15pm. at Yuzuki Japanese eatery(598 guerrero st. SF,CA 94110)
During this 75 minute long course, Yoshi will go into more depth and explain each step of the sake brewing process and the role of regionality in sake. The discussion will be accompanied by a slide show. Guests will be able to taste different sakes and small house-made bites will be served. A nice follow up course to Yoshi's "Introductory Sake" (not a pre-requisite). Recommended for anyone wanting to dig a little deeper about sake and to expand your knowledge on how it's brewed!
Yoshihiro Sako Bio: In 2008 Sako received his Kikisake (sake sommelier) license from the Sake Service Industry Institute & Kikisake Guild. Sako has worked as a kurabito (brewer) at Kubota brewery in Kanagawa pref. and Shiokawa brewery in Nigata prefecture in the past. Currently, Sako works as a sake director at Yuzuki and continuously experiments with home-brewing to understand the intricacies of micro organism.
