BIO: Mary Jo Pehl is a writer and actor on the television show Mystery Science Theater 3000, and has toured the country with the live version of the show, Cinematic Titanic. Her hilarious show part standup, part stories, all funny is about her life as a former crossword puzzle clue, her struggle with a debilitating physical condition, trying new things and why you shouldnt, sugar, and some very special celebrity impersonations.

Mary Jo has also contributed to RiffTrax, and stars with Bridget Nelson on their own line of films for RiffTrax Presents. She is one of the stars and writers of a sitcom currently in development, RenFest. As a standup comedian, Mary Jo has appeared on Comedy Central and A&E, and in stage productions in New York and Los Angeles. Her work is featured in several anthologies, including Lifes A Stitch: The Best of Contemporary Womens Humor and Travelers Tales: The Thong Also Rises. Her commentaries have aired on NPRs All Things Considered and Weekend America, and The Savvy Traveler on Public Radio International. She has contributed to Minnesota Monthly, Austin Monthly, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Austin Chronicle, and Salon.com, among others.
