WLA is Turning Forty! October 6, 2016
THIS YEAR, WE ARE PROUD TO CELEBRATE 40 YEARS OF FULFILLING OUR MISSION! AS THE ONLY NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IN WASHINGTON DEDICATED TO BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN THE WASHINGTON ARTS AND LEGAL COMMUNITIES, THE WLA PROVIDES TOOLS AND RESOURCES SO ARTISTS AND ART ORGANIZATIONS ARE BETTER ABLE TO HANDLE THE LEGAL AND BUSINESS ASPECTS OF THEIR CAREERS.
Join us October 6th to toast to recent WLA Impact:
-In the last two years, our legal clinics provided no-fee direct legal assistance to over 230 low-incoming artists.
-Over the same time period, we provided legal education services to 560 people via our workshops and Speakers Bureau programs.
-We have partnerships with local organizations, including Seattle University, Microsoft and Amazon.
