Star Trek: TNG was R. Vincent Moniz Jr.s favorite TV show as a kidhe made sure even guests knew not to touch the knob. When this Jerome Fellow hit junior high age, he would take two buses outta his Phillips neighborhood home just to get his hands on comic books. Since then hes been a s a 2012 Jerome Fellow, a 2013 Beyond the Pure Fellow, a 2014 Verve Fellow, a 2015 Loft Literary Center Spoken Word Immersion Fellow, and a 2015 Minnesota Emerging Writers' Grant recipient. R. Vincent Moniz, Jr. has been a part of the Twin Cities artistic community for over two decades as an actor and only recently has begun to share his poetry.

He has performed at The Loft Literary Centers highly acclaimed Equilibrium series, Revolver Magazine's Revolver at the Ritz, The Chazen Museum of Art, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the outdoor amphitheater of the Minneapolis American Indian Center.

Jim Stowell was a Featured Storyteller from the National Storytelling Festival 2011 in Jonesborough TN where he also returned this Spring 2012 to serve as Storyteller-In-Residence at the International Storytelling Center.

He has written and performed eleven one-man plays and written and directed eleven full cast plays. Among the places his plays have been performed:
Instituto del Belles Artes, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; in a mountain village in Guatemala, banana plantations in Honduras, and the rainforest of Brazil; Theater For The New City, New York City, The Goodman Theater (second stage) Chicago, the Atlanta Arts Festival, the Paul Bunyan Playhouse, Bemidji, MN. Big Top Chautauqua, Bayfield, WI. the Jungle Theater, Minneapolis, The Great American History Theater, St. Paul, and Park Square Theater, St. Paul, MN.

Over these years this press has called him: the areas premier storyteller The areas most compelling storyteller A master at work A mix of humor, truth and passionNot to be missed. He was even recommended in Fodors Travel Guide sometime in the late 80s. When they talked about what to do in Minneapolis they recommended going to one of his plays.

Two Chairs Telling has been produced and hosted by Loren Niemi since 1992 first at the Jungle Theater and since 2012 at the Bryant Lake Bowl Cabaret Theater. TCT is presented on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from September  June and is sponsored in part by the generous contributions of appreciative audience members and the community through tax-deductible donations via Story Arts MN (our fiscal agent) and Cheap Theater (a monthly storytelling series at the Black Forest Festaal Room).
