KING TIDE is a dance performance by Nina Haft & Company about water, balance and extremes. Our bodies are water, fragile and resilient like our local watersheds. KING TIDE explores how natural forces shape our movement, and how we might cultivate better relationships to our natural world.

King tides are extreme tide patterns that take place in winter when the sun and moon pull water across the earth in opposite directions. Artistic Director Nina Haft consulted the Farmers Almanac, local tide charts and other sources to develop this hour-long dance performance. Each performance of the work is unique, based on the phase and position of the moon and sun at that appointed hour.

Dancers: Sarah Chenoweth, Rebecca Johnson, Peiling Kao, Edmer Lazaro, Rogelio Lopez, Frances Sedayao

Soundscapes: Gretchen Jude

Music: Jason Hoopes and Kevin Corcoran

King Tide is performed in an intimate setting for audiences to feel as well as see the work. Please note that seating is limited, advanced ticket purchase is advised.
Audiences are invited after the show to share feedback and to find out more about Nina Haft & Companys site-specific outdoor performances about water and climate change.
