Community Improv Showcase
Great Night of Improv Comedy and Music -To Benefit Clark County Homeless Coalition
And To Inspire Winchester for Confident, Creative, and Collaborative Living
A year ago, improv in Winchester began in the old Curlee Clothing Factory building at Wainscott and Lexington Avenue with 3 homeless students. In what might seem an unlikely setting, improv has now become quite common, as the class continues to meet weekly with the Clark County Homeless Coalition for improv games, storytelling, and community building.
Community Improv has now grown to include an additional class and performing group of youth and adult mentors. This years improv showcase will feature the lively ensemble of youth and adult actors performing together in both original and classic improv games.
Community Improv strives to empower people for creative, collaborative living through improv and the arts and is excited to be partnering with the Leeds Center for the Arts, and many others who share that passion.
All the proceeds will go to the Clark County Homeless Coalition and their mission of empowering the homeless to take ownership of their path home.
The Community Improv Showcase will be held Saturday September 17th at 7:30 PM at Leeds Center for the Arts. All ticket sales will benefit the Clark County Homeless Coalition.
