Tony Vinh with Will C. & Teague Hayes
Tony Vinh returns home to KC for a one-night only stand-up comedy show. With special guests Will C. and Teague Hayes.
TONY VINH
Tony is often described by fellow comedians as the Asian Chris Rock. They even call him "Chris Wok." And it's not because his delivery can sometimes sound like the legendary comedian, but because Tony's comedy offers a similarly sharp, clever and absurd commentary on life only from the point of view of an Asian-American who grew up in the Midwest.
Today, he has performed at major clubs all over the US as well as internationally in England, Ireland and Canada. And he's been a crowd favorite at Gilda's Laughfest, the Funniest Person In Austin contest, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival and the The Detroit Comedy Festival. This September, he will be performing in Tokyo, Japan for the first time.
Tony was born and raised in Kansas City, and has also lived in Detroit and Austin. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
WILL C
Will has traveled the country as a road comic and has performed all over the United States and Canada. With his quick wit, over the top goofiness, and his ability to relate to his audiences, Will has become a favorite at clubs, colleges, and military bases everywhere.
He is a proud veteran and founded the group The Veterans of Comedy in 2014. Along with fellow veterans and veteran comedians, Erik Knowles, Ibo Brewer and Brett James, they continue performing and raising awareness for the troops. With their motto No Laugh Left Behind, they hope to help bridge the gap between soldier and civilian life by using laughter as the foundation.
Will C makes his home in Los Angeles, CA where he is a regular at the Improv, The Laugh Factory, The World Famous Comedy Store, and The Icehouse in Pasadena.
TEAGUE HAYES
Teague's act is really silly. It's borderline stupid. But at the same time... thought provoking? Is that possible? The point is, he'll do anything to make the audience laugh. Topical jokes, puns, situation comedy, slapstick, impressions, family memories...you name it!
His bottom line is: make em laugh! He heard that when he was a kid and it's pretty much the only rule he's ever tried to follow. Teague Hayes! No brow too high, no brow too low!
