July 25th Bellingham City Club Program
On July 25th City Club will feature a wide-ranging conversation on issues critical to Washington State, such as education, jobs, our environment and the state budget. Former Congressman and now candidate for the office of Governor Jay Inslee will engage in an extended conversation with Steve Scher, host of KUOW radio's Weekday, followed by a question and answer session with our members.
* Bellingham City Club is a non-partisan civic organization. The program committee made many attempts, starting in February, to find a date in June or July when Rob McKenna would come to City Club for a debate or forum with Jay Inslee. Since the McKenna campaign continued to offer us no options, the board decided that should not prevent our members from hearing the views of the other major candidate for governor, Jay Inslee, on important issues facing our state.
