Second Sunday Concert Series Presents: Four Hands, Four Continents
On September 11, pianists Rita Attrot and Helen Hall tickle the ivories on our parlour piano, presenting a duo concert entitled "Four Hands, Four Continents." Our journey around the globe begins in England with repertoire by Vaughan Williams and Richard Rodney Bennett. We next stop over in France for well loved selections by Fauré and Debussy. Russia is represented by Stravinsky, and Australia offers Percy Grainger. Our final destination is North America, with Geoffrey Carroll's "Appalachian Summer" rounding out the program.
Please note that, as of September, 2016, all concerts begin at 4PM.
Save the date for the next installment of the Second Sunday series on Sunday, October 9th!
*****PARKING******: Options include the parking lot at the Empire Landmark Hotel (Robson & Broughton) or street parking on Robson and in the West End.
Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route)
