Jamie Lee Curtis at Anderson's Bookshop

Join Anderson's Bookshop for a special event with Jamie Lee Curtis at our Naperville store! She will briefly greet the crowd and then move into a signing line.
Other than your phone/keys and the book we will hand you when you arrive, ALL OTHER ITEMS MUST BE LEFT IN THE CAR. This includes purses, so please make safe arrangements to leave those items elsewhere before you get to the store.
She will only be signing copies of her new book, This Is Me. Unfortunately she will not be able to sign any older titles today. She will NOT be signing any memorabilia, so please leave that at home as well.
The event will begin promptly at 4:00 and will end promptly at 6:00, so please arrive at the start and we will make sure everyone with a ticket gets through the line.
Details:
Your ticket number/seat number is your reserved place in the signing line. You will line up in order of that number and then get to meet the author and have your book signed.
Here's what you get with each ticket:
Admittance for up to 1 adult OR 1 adult with up to 2 children
A copy of the new book, "This Is Me" handed to you when you arrive
A reserved place in the signing line to get your book autographed (and personalized if you'd like)
The opportunity to meet Jamie and get a selfie photo together
A presentation about the book
Here's what you shouldn't expect:
Signatures on any of her older titles
An autograph in the book that you bought elsewhere
An autograph on any memorabilia
The seat number is actually your assigned place in the signing line. There are no assigned seats for this event.
In "This Is Me" a teacher tells her class about her great-grandmothers dislocating journey from home to a new country with nothing but a small suitcase to bring along. And she asks: What would you pack? What are the things you love best? What says This is me! With its lively, rhyming language and endearing illustrations, its a book to read again and again, imagining the lives of the different characters, finding new details in the art, thinking about what it would be like to move someplace completely different.
Its an interactive book, too: Tucked into the back cover is a sturdy pop-up suitcase. And as a younger reader fills the suitcase, he or she learns a lot about what really matters: Now YOU take this case/ and imagine its true,/ that youre leaving and needing/ to choose what says YOU.
