Callaloo: A Jazz Folktale Fundraiser
Come out and experience good food, music and theater at The Callaloo Fundraiser. Taking place at the newest Washington, DC Caribbean restaurant 876 Cafe. Ticket price includes Caribbean buffet brunch, live music and theater!

This event is in support of native Washingtonian/ Trinidad-American writer, actress and producer, Marjuan Canady's next play "Callaloo: A Jazz Folktale". Directed by Natalie Carter, music by Trinidadian trumpet player, Etienne Charles, carnival costuming by Winston Black. This Caribbean family play combines music, theater and dance to pay homage to the rich folkloric traditions of Trinidad and Tobago. This play plans to tour internationally beginning in Fall 2012. Come out and support this work!
