Spirit Rising Benefit Concert with Horizon Ridge and Earl McAuley

The Spirit Rising Benefit Concert on September 11 from 1 to 5 pm at the Ironwood Stage and Grill in Calgary features Earl McAuley, a virtuoso keyboard blues player, and Horizon Ridge, a truly fine Calgary-based group whose tight harmonies and wide range of instruments explore traditional and contemporary folk, country, blues and gospel music.

The event is a fundraiser for the Himat project in northern Pakistan that is contributing to peace through poverty alleviation, in which we celebrate the same spirit that makes Calgary great and also makes it possible for folks elsewhere in the world to rise above their challenging life circumstances to build a better world.

Please come and bring lots of friends. Wed love to see the Ironwood (1229 9th Ave SE, Calgary, Alberta) full to capacity with folks who see September 11th as an opportunity to celebrate and contribute to peace.

Tickets are $20, with all proceeds going to Himat.
