Serena is making it as a young adult in New York, with a stable home, quick-witted friends, and Jason an imminent fiancé who believes in her relentlessly. So why has she felt her existence is a nightmare, and why won't she mention it to anyone? When a disastrous incident renders her comatose, that existence suddenly hangs by a thread.
