Sunday, October 30: Botanical Drawing (Instructor: Corinne Lapin Cohen) The crisp, minimalist lines of Ellsworth Kellys Suite of Plant Lithographs (196466) seem to capture botanical forms and shapes with just the slightest effort. Grab a friend and enjoy a morning of botanical drawing and sketching activities that bring the minimalist line to life.
Sunday, November 6: Exuberant Line in Picture and Prose . (Instructors: Shiela Hale and Pamela Hart) Artist Shiela Hale and poet Pamela Hart guide participants in an exploration of line in various forms and iterations. Experiment with elements of line-making in drawing and writing through exercises that will excite visual, written, and creative responses.
Sunday, November 13: Contour Figure Sketching (Instructor: Wendy Shalen) With live models reminiscent of those favored by Henri Matisse and surrounded by the exhibition of Matisse drawings curated by Ellsworth Kelly, participants will spend the morning capturing the essence of the human form through a series of experimental activities with pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink.
