Elise Testone Presents "Thankful for Amy"

American Idol Finalist, singer/songwriter Elise Testone will be joined by an all-star line-up for Thankful For Amy a tribute to Amy Winehouse at The Acoustic in Bridgeport, CT on September 9. This show comes on the heels of successful Thankful For Amy shows at Underground Arts, a sold out show at Lucille's at BB Kings, The Howard Theater, and Howlin' Wolf during Jazz Fest. The band will include Natalie Cressman (trombone, Trey Anastasio Band), Jay Rodriguez (saxophone, Groove Collective), Clynt Yerkes (trumpet, Charles Bradley), Adam Fallen (guitar, Skylar Grey), Trey Cooper (keyboard), Jed Lingat (bass, Timothy Bloom), Sydney Driver (drums, Rhythm & Stealth), and Sami Stevens (vocals).

This show will be two sets, the first set consisting of the Thankful For Amy tribute and second set consisting of Elise Testone's original music

Exposed to music that ranged from Motown and the Beatles to Queen, Elise Testone began studying privately at the age of 5 and performed at local coffeehouses throughout her teenage years. Testone graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Vocal Performance degree, and continued to hone her skills performing live and teaching music in Charleston. At the age of 27, Testone was approached by a talent scout from American Idol and became a top 6 finalist on the hit show in 2012.

In the wake of her appearance on American Idol, Testone has toured extensively performing original music with her own band as well as participating in a number of successful collaborations, including the James Brown Dance Party and Thankful For Amy Winehouse. Testone has also appeared on such popular TV programs as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Live with Kelly, Access Hollywood, Good Day New York, and Good Morning America. Testone's original music has drawn comparisons to legends including Ella Fitzgerald, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, James Brown and Lauryn Hill. Testone lives in Brooklyn, NY.
