Harvey Diamond has been described as one of the unsung heroes of the Boston jazz scene since the mid-1960's. He was among the last students of Lennie Tristano (one of the great original improvisers who played with such luminaries as Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker in the 1940's) and has done concert appearances with NEA Jazz Masters Sheila Jordan and Art Farmer. Legendary within the jazz community, Harvey plays with a rare combination of technique, intellect, subtlety and heart. Harvey will be joined by longtime collaborator Jon Dreyer on bass and a drummer TBA.
