Benefit About hurt people
Commissioned for performance in the Cultural Conversations Festival,
Right to Remain Violent: Gun Control F/Or a New Civilzation,
"hurt people" follows 17 year old Sara, whose high school is the target of a mass shooting. Separated from her twin sister, she is forced to live with her estranged ex-military aunt.  When a piece of national news breaks, Sara walks the fine line between perpetuating the status quo and affecting meaningful change.

This one-woman tour de force uses multi-media, spoken word, dynamic movement, and poetry to tell a story that jogs the memory and breaks the heart.
