Jim Bruno and Friends

A former member of The Shawn Colvin Band, Singer/ Songwriter Jim Bruno returns to Southern Illinois for an evening great music with friends new and old! Several long time friends who were members of Slappin Henry Blue, The Dixie Diesels and The McDaniel Bros. band are slated to perform with Jim including Rusty "Radar" Hurst, Charlie Morrill, Kent McDaniel, Tawl Paul, Robbie Stokes and others!

Jim Bruno is a San Francisco Bay Area based published songwriter. Songs hes written or co-written have been recorded and released by Shawn Colvin, Chuck Prophet, Thad Cockrell, Mary Lou Lord, Cliff Eberhardt, Maurice Tani and Laurie MacAlister.

As a performing songwriter hes performed at the Greenwich Village Folk Festival, the San Francisco Folk Festival, the Udine Folk Festival in Udine, Italy and has toured many times in Europe. He also played bass, guitar and sang in the Shawn Colvin Band and often performed with Shawn as a duet.

He currently teaches courses in Songwriting at Foothill College in Los Altos Hill, CA and at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA.
