Sun Prints for Youth
Sun Prints (Youth ages 8-14)
During this workshop students will learn how to create prints through the use of liquid light sensitizer and sunlight. Student will have access to an array of stencils, objects, and plant materials to choose from for creating their own unique sun prints. Historically known as a photographic process called Cyanotype, early 20th century engineers used this technique as a way to reproduce blueprint drawings. Today, photographers and printmakers continue use this method as a creative medium.
Students are welcome to bring light colored 100% cotton fabrics to use during the workshop.
