Elizabeth Vaughan has been in love with music since the age of two when she would demand that her mother sing through the entire catalog of Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes for hours a day. Piano lessons came next, then choir and afternoons spent imitating the vocal stylings of her idols. Ella Fitzgerald. Joni Mitchell. Even the sometimes-over-the-top Mariah Carey. Eventually, in the aftermath of a confusing bout with love during college, she took a stab at writing a song. It wasn't any kind of poetic masterpiece, but it was actually pretty damn good. Since then, she has steadily (erratically, really) created a collection of original songs about everything from burning toast to learning to live with uncertainty.
Based out of Boston, MA, Rocco DeRosa is a singer-songwriter, producer, audio engineer, multi-instrumentalist, teacher and band leader. Rocco has over 15 years of music industry experience ranging from live sound engineer to live performer. Currently working out of his studio just north of Boston, MA, Rocco is currently putting the finishing touches on 4 records to be released this fall. A solo EP recorded with Brian Packer, one with Elizabeth Vaughan, an EP with his original band The Naked Stills and an EP with singer songwriter Anna Snow.
Young Frontier - Think Ryan Adams, Jeff Buckley, Jason Isbell, The Band, The Lone Bellow, Nickel Creek, The Wood Brothers, and Ray Lamontagne and you get the idea. We heartily welcome this new band at The Lizard!
