Taller de dramaturgia con Carlos Satizábal de Colombia (en español) | Playwright Master Class with Carlos Satizábal
Sábado 1 y domingo 2 de octubre de 1:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.

Lectura de los trabajos con público: viernes 7 de octubre de 6-7p.m en Daniels Spectrum (como parte de la programación del festival. Participación voluntaria).

Carlos Satizábal, ganador del Premio de Dramaturgia ciudad de Bogotá y del Premio nacional de Poesía regresa a Toronto por cuarta vez con este popular taller basado en la metodología de la creación colectiva, desarrollada por la famosa compañía Teatro La Candelaria.

La memoria y los espacios de la vida vivida
Taller de dramaturgia: la memoria y los espacios de la vida vivida. Hacer una lista de espacios y momentos emotivos vividos en esos espacios. En la primera parte del taller cada participante escribirá pequeñas escenas independientes a partir de los momentos emotivos vividos en los espacios de la vida vivida. En la segunda parte elaborará con el conjunto de escenas una forma, una estructura, una pequeña obra posible. Al final organizaremos una lectura de estas pequeñas obras.
Este taller está abierto a todo nivel de experiencia.

Este taller será dictado en español.

Máximo número de participantes: 14

Carlos Satizábal es poeta, actor de teatro y escritor. Profesor asociado de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Ha coordinado el área dramaturgia de la Maestría en Escrituras Creativas y dirige el curso-taller de dramaturgia de la Escuela de Cine y TV. Trabaja en la Corporación Colombiana de Teatro (CCT) como director, dramaturgo, actor, compositor y diseñador de sonido.  Con Patricia Ariza fundó Tramaluna Teatro hace más de diecisiete años.

Playwright Master Class with Carlos Satizábal of Colombia
Explore dramaturgical approaches to creating alternative, socially motivated theatre
Saturday 1 & Sunday October 2, 1:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.
Aluna Theatre, 1 Wiltshire Avenue, Toronto
Public readings (voluntary participation): Friday October 7th, 6-7pm, Daniels Spectrum, as part of the RUTAS festival.

Carlos Satizábal, winner of the Playwright Award from the city of Bogota and the National Poetry Award, returns to Toronto for a fourth time to teach his popular workshop based on the Colombian Collective Creation from the famous experimental La Candelaria Theatre.

Memory and Spaces of Life Lived: we begin by making a list of spaces and the emotional moments that we have lived in those spaces. Each participant will then write small scenes based on those emotional spaces.  The second part of the workshop involves creating a dramaturgical structure with these scenes and assembling them into a short play.

Open to all levels of experience.

Maximum: 14 participants

This class will be given in Spanish.  A translator will be present throughout the class for English speakers who wish to register.
 
Carlos Satizábal is a poet, actor, writer and director, he is Associate Professor at the National University of Colombia. He coordinates the Masters in Creative Writing Program and directs the course/playwriting workshop at the School of Film and TV.   Satizábal works at Corporacion Colombiana de Teatro (CCT) as director, playwright, actor, composer and sound designer; with continuous processes of theatrical creation with displaced populations and victims of the war in Colombia. With Patricia Ariza, he founded Teatro Tramaluna more than 17 years ago.
