Politics & Prose and Sixth & I Present IAN MCEWAN
Ian McEwan has been a force in British literature for more than three decades, earning worldwide critical acclaim for his vivid, thoughtful, and often jarring novels. From the historical sweep of ATONEMENT to the psychological intrigue of AMSTERDAM, McEwan has shown that he can turn any genre into the highest order of literary fiction. The Man Booker and Whitbread Award winner's fourteenth novel, NUTSHELL, is a story of marital betrayal told from an unexpected perspective: As Trudy tires of her husband and makes grisly plans to escape him, her unborn child overhears all her schemes.
Ian McEwan will be in conversation with the novelist and memoirist Richard McCann.
This event will not include a public signing; all books will be pre-signed by McEwan.
