Paolo Morena
lf you thought you'd seen and heard it all, music-wise, you'd better prepare for Paolo Morena: his live-looping approach to performance, combined with an astonishing talent for turning out catchy, beautiful, perfectly-crafted songs, is something to both behold and listen to! Hovering somewhere between gigging and performance art, Paolo's shows are a master class in holding an audience spellbound. The live-looping technique requires the musician to record and play back his own performance as he goes along, so a one-man band can be transformed into anything, from a quartet to a symphony orchestra! A must-see for music-lovers everywhere, Paolo plays gigs up and down the country and across Europe regularly, so do catch him when he's in town. Paolo will be playing tracks from his album. "TheMightySmall", released this year!
ROOD
Yorkshire based five-piece ROOD are an Alternative Rock band formed in 2015. The band consists of Tom Hale (vocals, guitar), Joe Castle (guitar, vocals), Liam Butterfield (bass, vocals) Elliot Mann (drums) and Jack Miszewski (keys, percussion). They complete their original sound with swirling layers of overdriven guitars and keys over hefty bass and solid drums. ROOD quickly built a loyal cult following from their early gigs before making the decision to refine their trade behind closed doors, in the recording studios of Sheffield and Liverpool.
Egyptian Blue
Egyptian Blue have a unique brand of raw, scuzzy, psychy garage rock. Flirting with psychedelia and punk, the band have been making weird and wonderful sounds since last year. Louder Than War premiered their debut "Do you think you're worth your soul?" at the end of 2015, a track that offered a twisting and twirling anthem for the youth, and the band have released their follow-up track at the start of 2016 "High The Hyena" which came with their The Great Escape fest, Truck, Ynot and Together the People festival announcements. Having had support from the likes BBC Radio One with their most recent release 'This is my rot' NME labelled them Promising upstarts; fuzzy, upbeat and lysergic"
